In 2026 a bright moon will hide most meteors except the brightest, and from Málaga the radiant in Aquarius climbs to 37° above the south horizon around 04:25. Local best viewing window: 01:45–05:40 CEST on the peak night, about 3.9 hours of astronomical darkness. Scaled to that altitude, the 25/hour headline figure works out to roughly 15 meteors an hour from Málaga under a genuinely dark sky. Tonight: clear skies forecast, so a dark site is worth the drive.
