1. Who we are
skyalert.io is operated by EPAK Vibes, registered in Oslo, Norway. We make a free public site that helps people not miss eclipses, meteor showers, and full moons. By using the site you agree to these terms; if you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. The service
skyalert.io provides countdowns, descriptions, and city-level visibility forecasts for upcoming sky events, plus optional email and SMS reminders. The service is offered "as is". We work hard to keep astronomical times correct (sourced from NASA, USNO, IMO) but cloud-cover forecasts are predictions and can be wrong.
3. Reminders
You may sign up for free reminders by entering an email address or phone number. By doing so you confirm you own that contact. We will only send reminders for events you subscribed to and a small number of operational messages (e.g. service-status). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every message; that immediately removes your record.
4. Your responsibilities
- Do not use skyalert.io to send spam, scrape at industrial scale, or attack our infrastructure.
- Do not subscribe addresses you do not own.
- Follow local eye-safety guidance during eclipses. Looking at the partially eclipsed sun without ISO 12312-2 glasses can permanently damage your sight; see our safety guide.
5. Limitation of liability
skyalert.io is free. To the extent permitted by law, EPAK Vibes is not liable for missed events, inaccurate cloud forecasts, eye injury caused by ignoring posted safety guidance, or losses caused by reliance on the site. Where a non-disclaimable warranty applies (consumer law in your country), our maximum liability is the amount you paid us in the past twelve months — which, for a free service, is zero.
6. Content and trademarks
Original prose, layouts, and graphics on skyalert.io are © EPAK Vibes 2026 and licensed CC-BY-4.0 unless marked otherwise. Astronomical event data sourced from NASA, USNO, IMO, and Open-Meteo remains under those bodies' respective terms. "skyalert" and the skyalert.io wordmark are unregistered trademarks of EPAK Vibes.
7. Affiliate links
Some outbound links (eclipse glasses, lodging near eclipse cities) are affiliate links: we may earn a small commission if you purchase, at no extra cost to you. This is disclosed in the link area. Affiliate links never affect editorial choices about which events or cities we cover.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be flagged on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after a change counts as acceptance.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Disputes are heard by Norwegian courts, except where mandatory consumer law in your country gives you the right to your local courts.
