The Southern Delta Aquariids meteor shower peaks from Porto around Jul 29-30, with up to 25 meteors per hour under ideal conditions. In 2026 a bright moon will hide most meteors except the brightest, and from Porto the radiant in Aquarius climbs to 32° above the south horizon around 03:40. Local best viewing window: 01:30–04:30 WEST on the peak night, about 3.0 hours of astronomical darkness. Scaled to that altitude, the 25/hour headline figure works out to roughly 13 meteors an hour from Porto under a genuinely dark sky. Tonight: widespread cloud, with little clear sky forecast.
