Local best viewing window: 20:35–05:20 PST on the peak night, about 8.8 hours of astronomical darkness. Scaled to that altitude, the 120/hour headline figure works out to roughly 120 meteors an hour from Los Angeles under a genuinely dark sky. Tonight: solid cover, with no real breaks forecast.
