The Perseids meteor shower peaks from Buenos Aires around Aug 12-13, with up to 150 meteors per hour under ideal conditions. From Buenos Aires the radiant in Perseus never rises: on peak night it stays 3° below the horizon, so the Perseids cannot be seen from here at all. In 2026 a new moon means dark skies, but you would need to travel toward the northern hemisphere to catch this one. Tonight: complete cloud cover across the forecast window.
