The Perseids meteor shower peaks from København around Aug 12-13, with up to 150 meteors per hour under ideal conditions. In 2026 a new moon means dark skies, and from København the radiant in Perseus climbs to 54° above the north-east horizon around 02:25. Local best viewing window: 00:05–02:25 CEST on the peak night, about 2.3 hours of astronomical darkness. Scaled to that altitude, the 150/hour headline figure works out to roughly 121 meteors an hour from København under a genuinely dark sky. Tonight: some cloud about, but gaps should be frequent.
