The Ursids meteor shower peaks from São Paulo around Dec 22, with up to 10 meteors per hour under ideal conditions. From São Paulo the radiant in Ursa Minor never rises: on peak night it stays 9° below the horizon, so the Ursids cannot be seen from here at all. In 2026 a half moon will wash out fainter meteors, but you would need to travel toward the northern hemisphere to catch this one. Tonight: fully overcast — little chance of a clear gap.
